About

Resilientia comes from the Latin verb “resilire” and means “to rebound, spring back, or leap back”. It is the linguistic ancestor of the English word resilience, which denotes the capacity to recover after deformation, stress, or shock. Resilience is the capacity of a system, person, or community to absorb shocks, adapt, and recover quickly – so it keeps functioning under stress and often emerges stronge.

I have founded Resilientia Oy in 2026 out of a long-cherished personal interest in self-sufficiency in general and energy self-sufficiency in particular. Political, economic and ecological developments in the 2020s are indicating that humanity as a whole is heading towards severe times of unrest. The climate crisis is accelerating and threatening life and human wellbeing on earth as we know it. Peace and democracy are globally under threat with a brutal war waging in Europe.

Centralized electricity and food production as well as global supply chains are becoming more and more vulnerable. Preparedness and resilience is the call of the hour. While billionaires are buying complete islands to create off-grid safe havens for themselves, independent from any supply chains, the majority of people don’t have this option. Resilientia Oy builds independence and resilience for the people and with the people.

I have been working and still work as a professional in the renewable energy sector, planning and permitting renewable energy projects and working on related topics for more than twelve years. With Resilientia Oy I want to support communities on a more local and grassroot level to increase their self-sufficiency in a sustainable way, particularly when it comes to energy. Energy communities are a method to increase community resilience and energy independence: decreasing the electricity bill in times of peace, contributing to survival in times of crisis.

A resilient society is built not by what we consume, but by what we can create and share together.
